From 2015 to 2025, I was co-owner (and for several years, CEO) of HDpiano -- one of the largest online piano education companies in the world.

HDpiano's premise was simple: learn your favorite songs on piano, no sheet music required, no prior experience needed. What started as a scrappy YouTube channel became a subscription business with 1.77 million subscribers, 313 million views, and a library of 1,500+ song tutorials -- growing roughly 9x during my time there.

I wore a lot of hats. On the business side, I led the company through its growth years, secured licensing agreements with all major publishers (Sony, Universal, Warner, Disney), and built & managed a team of dozens of world-class pianists and technologists. On the creative side, I personally produced and recorded more than 500 lessons for our catalog -- including the two most-watched videos on the channel, each with over 6M views.

We served 200 million lessons worldwide. Revenue grew 10x from our early subscription days to peak. And somewhere along the way, we learned that a young Billie Eilish had used our lessons to learn piano. 🤯

I exited in March 2025.
